Implementation of Project-Based Learning Strategies to Improve Metacognitive Skills and Understanding of Biodiversity Concepts in State High School 2 Kairatu, West District of Seram

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to improve the metacognitive ability and understanding of the concept of state Senior High School students 2 kairatu on the concept of biodiversity taught using a project-based learning strategy. This type of research is descriptive research to describe the improvement of metacognitive ability and understanding of biodiversity concept of state senior high school students 2 kairatu taught using project-based learning strategy. Population in this study is all students of class X state senior high school 2 kairatu. The sample of this study is the student class XB2 which amounted to 19 students. The result showed that there is an increase in metacognitive ability and understanding of the biodiversity concept of students in class XB2 state senior high school 2 kairatu. Based on the result of this study can be concluded that the implementation of project-based learning strategies can be applied to biology learning, especially biodiversity concepts.
