Author Guidelines

GUIDELINES FOR WRITING MANUSCRIPT

Manuscript Format

The manuscript can be written in Indonesian or English on A4 HVS paper, using the Microsoft Word program, Times New Roman 12 font, 2 cm border, 1.5 line spacing, and maximum of 12 page including tables and figures. There are no footnotes in the text.

The manuscript consists of title, author and affiliation address, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results And Discussion, Conclusions, and Bibliography. Acknowledgments or Appreciations, if any, are placed before the Bibliography.

The title must be informative, complete and concise, a maximum of 15 words  in Indonesian and English by using capital letters at the beginning of words, and Latin names written in italics. Font type of the title is Times New Roman size 14.

The name and address of the author, written in full without a title; the name of the institution where each author's affiliation, along with the address and email for correspondence.

Abstract, contains a brief description of the entire text written in Indonesian and English, no more than 200 words and is equipped with keywords of up to five words.

Reference citation

References are written at the end of a quoted statement, and are numbered sequentially within parentheses, such as: ---------- [1], ---------- [2], or ................. [3,4]  if two or more references at a time. This reference must be included in the bibliography in the order in the text. Example:

Submission of Manuscripts

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

In submitting the manuscript to the journal, the authors certify that:

  • They are authorized by their co-authors to enter into these arrangements.
  • The work described has not been formally published before, except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review, thesis, or overlay journal.   • That it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere,

Authors who publish with Agrologia : Jurnal Ilmu Budidaya Tanaman agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
Authors are NOT required to pay an Article Submission Fee.

Article Publication: 250000.00 (IDR)
Since April 2022, authors are required to pay an Article Publication Fee.

A waiver or partial waiver of author fees may be decided by the editor in case of lack of funding, excessive length of a submitted manuscript or other reasonable reasons provided by the author during the submission. The author should clearly declare that he asks for a waiver in the comments to the Editor box during their submission. A waiver is most likely to be denied if it is not asked in this stage. The waiver will have no effect on the review result
